One day you’ll find yourself rereading a favorite book. The text you read at 16 will be the same text you reread at 36 and at 56, but you will have changed considerably, as will your reactions to the work. And if you took the time to underline passages or fold pages, you’ll likely be amazed by both your past wisdom and bad taste.
